Usage and Care
How do I use my mat?
Check out our usage and care video on how to properly use and maintain your mat for the long term.
We highly recommend using the mat with the included non slip pad and nothing else in between to protect the mat from uneven floors.
My mat has warped/broken. Is this normal?
As the mat is a stone product it may bow, warp, crack or bend given it's natural properties. We highly recommend using the included non slip pad on the floor with nothing else in between it and the stone mat. This will help mitigate breakage and protect from uneven floors. If you're mat happens to bow, bend or crack please reach out to our customer service team on hello@stoneandhome.co and we will happily replace the mat for you.
Can you use this mat outdoors?
This mat is designed for
indoor wet spaces but can be used if needed outside. We recommend keeping the mat indoors for storage when not in use.
Will this mat stain?
If you get oil or another scented liquid on the mat, we recommend using paper towel to dab it dry and then some cotton wool pad with a cleaning liquid to prevent discoloration or smell. Then rinse and lean to dry.
What is the maximum weight that the mat can withhold?
We recommend keeping the weight limit to 300lb or less on a hard surface. Our bath mat comes with a
ecofriendly non slip pad that is placed underneath the stone to allow for equal weight distribution and further cracking. We highly recommend you use this pad underneath the stone mat.
How long will the mat last for?
We’ve been working and
testing 100’s of mats for 2 years and they’ve all lasted with no replacement. We’ve included multi use high grade buffers to buff out any marks from natural wear that should keep the mat feeling new. We recommend making sure the mat
dries out between uses and doing a periodic rinse and lean on the wall to keep the mat fresh.

How do I clean the mat?
We recommend using the included multi use cleaning buffers to gently buff out any natural wear. Then giving the mat a rinse and leaning it up against a wall to dry fully. If there is any major usage or incidents, we recommend placing the mat into a tub or shower and giving it a wipe with a natural cleaner. Then
again give it a rinse and lean to fully dry. Learn more about usage and care on our page here.
Can I put something under the mat?
The bath mat comes with
a premium ecofriendly non slip pad to allow for equal weight distribution and prevents any slippage. We highly recommend using this and nothing else under the mat to protect from uneven floors.
Does this mat damage marble floors or ceramic tile?
Our mat comes with a non slip pad that is placed underneath to prevent any floor damage.
My mat got saturated and feels like its stopped drying?
Every now and then dust or dirt may build up on the stone than can interfere with the full absorption
properties of the mat. We recommend giving the mat a buff with cleaning buffers, a wipe with a natural non toxic cleaner and then a rinse and lean against the wall to get rid of any dirt or dust.
Can this be used on heated floors?
Yes, this mat can be used on heated floors.
Can this mat fit under shower doors?
Yes, this mat is designed with a specific height of 0.3” to fit perfectly under the shower door.

At the moment we fulfil through Amazon. You can refer to your local Amazon site for policies and terms. We are hoping to expand to our website soon and will keep you updated on any updates to shipping.
My product arrived damaged?
We're really sorry to hear this. As we currently fulfil through Amazon sometimes damage may happen from Amazon FBA warehouse to doorstep. Please let us at hello@stoneandhome.co and Amazon know so we can organise you a replacement or refund as required.

Are Stone and Home products safe?
Our bath mat is 100% safe to use in your home and does not contain any asbestos or other substances of high concerned to the European Chemicals Agency and the Office of Environmental Health and Hazardous Assessment.
Is the mat biodegradable?
Yes, the Stone and Home mat is biodegradable.
What is your packaging made out of?
